| Blakiston's Fish Owl. This is the World's largest Owl, resident of the far East of Russia, China, Korea and Japan. Hokkaido is the only place in its range where seeing and photographing them is a practical proposition. We were fortunate seeing this nocturnal bird so early in the evening; often one has to wait well into the night before it appears |
